It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Margaret Leibold, 65, on December 27, 2024, at Holy Family Hospital in Greenville, Illinois.
Born August 13, 1959, in Normandy, Missouri to Harry and Anna (Balky) Wyman, Anna was raised in Granite City, Illinois and attended Granite City High School. She grew up during a time when connections were made not online but through other types of communication such as CB radios. From her family's home base station, she struck up a conversation with an aspiring over-the-road trucker named Alvin Leibold-a conversation that would change her life forever. Their connection grew into a deep love, resulting in their marriage in Granite City in 1979. Together, they shared 45 years of laughter, devotion, and adventure.
Anna had a passion for being creative and working with her hands, which led her and her sister, Terry, to open a ceramics shop in New Mexico. They painted and crafted ceramics, sharing their art at rodeos and local events. H
