It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Kent Reidelberger, affectionately known as Quincy, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at home with his loved ones by his side.
Quincy was born on April 26, 1950, in Highland, Illinois to Frank and Ruby Mae (Cruthis) Reidelberger. He was a hometown boy, raised in Bond County with his early years spent attending schools in Sorento and Greenville. He married LoLita Renee McCoy July 13, 2012, at their home in Sorento, Illinois and spent the next 12 wonderful years together. In his youth, Quincy worked as a bartender and laborer, honing his social skills and forming lifelong connections. He later embarked on a remarkable 35-plus-year career as a truck driver, most recently with EF Express, from which he retired. Known as a live version of Google Maps, Quincy's knowledge of routes and destinations was unmatched.
