JoAnn E. Alexander, 77, of Greenville, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Greenville Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenville, Illinois.
JoAnn was born May 13, 1947, in Coulterville, IL. the daughter of Franklin T. and Vivian (Clutts) Smoot. She married Allan Robinson Alexander on June 12, 1969, in Donnellson, IL. They were married for 54 blessed years.
JoAnn was a wonderful mother, loyal wife, and friend to anyone she met. She lived with her father and mother until her mother's passing. She was later joined in the family by her stepmother. At a young age, she moved to live with her aunt and uncle, Thomas and Rose Smoot of Donnellson, IL. Her aunt and uncle were like a mother and father to her, and their children, equal siblings to JoAnn.
She worked tirelessly raising two children, working on the farm, and keeping up the household. She was later employed in Greenville, as well. Her passion in life was most definitely horses, of which she had several, and was extremely kno
