Nancy Carol Neer, of Highland, Illinois, passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 74, after courageously battling multiple brain tumors throughout her life. Born in Highland, Illinois to Arthur and EmaDean (Donaldson) Worstell, Nancy spent her early childhood in Benton, before her family moved to the Greenville area where she spent most of her life. She then moved to Hillsboro, where she lived for 15 years with her daughter, before settling in Greenville for her remaining years.
She attended Inglis School and Greenville High School before marrying Stephen Neer. Together they had a daughter, Lisa, and although they divorced, they created a life filled with shared joys and cherished moments. After working at Puridee's Café for a time, she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom, raising her family with love and care.
Her hobbies and interests brought her immense happiness. She loved to play bingo and try her luck at the slot machines. Nancy was always up for a game of cards
