Rebecca Lynn 'Becky' Diesselhorst, a lifelong resident of Bond County, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 68. Born in Vandalia, IL, to Dale and Bessie (DeVall) Litzenberg, Becky lived a life filled with love, laughter, and generosity. She graduated from Greenville High School with the Class of 1974 and later earned a degree in Early Childhood Development from Kaskaskia College. On May 23, 1991, she married her beloved spouse Terry, sharing a bond that lasted through life's ups and downs. They spent 32 wonderful years together and built a lifetime of memories for their family to cherish.
With a love for children, Becky put her heart into daycare for over 20 years, having owned and operated The Gingerbread House in Carlyle for many of those. She cared for countless little ones and was a cherished part of many families, especially her own.
