William R. "Bob" Jenner, 92, of Pocahontas, IL, was called to his heavenly home Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
He was born on March 21, 1932, in Beaucoup, IL. When he was seven, he was adopted by his loving parents, Marion and Mary (nee Cochran) Jenner. On November 27, 1954, he married the love of his life Loretta Ward at the Methodist Church in Pocahontas, IL.
Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He was in the US Army Corps of Engineers and stationed in Korea. Throughout the duration of his service, he received many accolades, including the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Ribbon with 2 Bronze Campaign Stars, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
After serving his country Bob returned to his lifelong occupation as a livestock and grain farmer. In addition to his farming, he also served as a Trustee on the Old Ripley Township Board. In his free time Bob was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to rid
